Is it possible to measure wellness?
My house is proud to work with community leaders dedicated to making the most cutting-edge care accessible for everyone! Many of our partners have served the community for decades. For the past 20 years, the incredible team behind My House has served the Utah community as the Mike and Renee Brown have served our community.
Our Mission
My House changes lives by providing inclusive and supportive resources for people:
We offer positive social and community experiences, promoting better health and a greater sense of self. That all may have access to mindful educational activities, personal development, safe and secure housing, health care, and vocational or professional readiness.

Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) can be grouped into 5 domains
The Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) are a major concern for the underserved of our community as they represent the critical aspects of human health and wellness. Identifying these for each person individually often reveals the disparities and sources of struggle and suffering.
My House makes significant effort to provide resources that cultivate Economic Stability. People that are coming into Sober Living are often from jail, from prison, and from homelessness. Many are from chronic homelessness, feeling hopeless and sincerely seeking relief from financial strain. Our program has been able to help our clients with a consistent 95% employment rate for over 20 years.
When it comes to Education Access and Quality, our program utilizes numerous established resources in the community, offering social involvement, educational experiences and opportunities for our clients to serve others. The ability to feel welcome, participate, and even give back, provides incredible opportunities to learn and grow.
Another key focus of our My House program is Healthcare Access and Quality. This is a top priority from the moment a client comes under our care. Everyone in our program immediately enrolls in healthcare services to get stabilized medically. Medical health absolutely affects a person’s mentality, and influences every choice they make and every goal they set.
Physical safety in a Neighborhood and Built Environment is another essential spoke to the wheel of health. Each of our Sober Living Properties is located in a safe neighborhood, within a well-established community environment. We make sure that our clients live in areas that are walkable, and in which everyone can feel good about where they are.
Our My House neighborhoods and micro-communities, offer positive Social and Community Context that significantly impacts the well-being of our clients. When you feel safe, valued and seen, and are surrounded by positive, supportive people, that is an environment that creates the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.
What Clients Say
Matt G
“This program helped me to identify and name my emotions, more than just ‘happy’ and ‘angry’, which enabled me to reestablish my core values and process my emotions in a healthy way, as opposed to not dealing with them and acting out through substance abuse. That awareness has been key to my success in the program.”
Jessica B.
“The only truly safe housing is supportive housing. Living among others who genuinely understand your story and want you to succeed, provides the accountability and camaraderie that helps you keep going.”
Matt G.
“I’ve seen so many people come out of their shells. Getting to know other members in the program at different stages, cultivates an organic camaraderie and mentorship that truly makes an important impact. ”
